(1) What is your favorite book? [Bible excluded]
Michelle: Jane Eyre. I know. I hear you… “why would such a dark, depressing story be your favorite?”Because it takes darkness to appreciate light. Heroine Jane overcomes some really black circumstances by sticking to her morals. She’s an inspiration and a good reminder to not lose my self-respect even in the service of others.
(2) If you could walk into any book, what literary character would you want to be?
Michelle: All shameless self-plugging aside, I honestly would want to be Cassie Larson from UNDERCURRENT. She meets a man (hero Ragnar) who loves her and God so deeply, she is changed from the inside out. Who doesn’t want to be renewed like that? Not to mention getting to tool around on a Viking ship. Win. Win.
(3) If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Michelle: Without a second thought and even without packing, I’d hop a plane to England. I’d move there if I could. The heart of an Anglophile beats within me, which sounds super creepy, but hey…at least it’s still beating. Even more specific, I’d go to Warwick. Love the area and the castle.
Thank you, Michelle, for joining us on 3 Questions Wednesday!
A Heart Deceived
Michelle’s been writing since she first discovered blank wall space and Crayolas…professionally, however, for the past 10 years. Her recent release is A HEART DECEIVED, a gothic regency put out by David C. Cook (June 2013).
