Shirley Kiger Connolly

Today we welcome multi-published author Shirley Kiger Connolly to 3 Questions Wednesday.

(1) What is your favorite book? [Bible excluded]

Shirley: If I was to include one that is not inspirational and is recent, I would have to say THE NOTEBOOK by Nicolas Sparks. I love this author’s style. I wouldn’t normally expect a romance to be in first person, but Sparks is able to accomplish it well which gives it more of a classic feel. He tastefully deals with Alzheimer’s in such a tender way in THE NOTEBOOK which can be appreciated by many who might have loved ones going through the disease. My other favorite (a true classic) is Jane Austen’s PRIDE AND PREJUDICE.

(2) If you could walk into any book, what literary character would you want to be?

Shirley: If I was to select a character from a women’s historical fiction book based on the Bible, I would pick the literary character, RUTH. I would love to be like Ruth who will always be an inspiration to me. Unfortunately, I have a long way to go.

(3) If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Shirley: My husband and I have traveled a lot over the last several years, to include places like Australia, Grenada, and Ireland and nearly all the states. Another place I would like to go would be England (any place but London) and also Italy. England, because so many of the books I read have the setting in England. Italy, partly because of the food. 🙂
