Today’s 3 Questions Wednesday guest is author Julie Arduini.
Which author would you never get tired of, and why?
Julie: It’s hard to pick just one. I’ll go with Susan May Warren. Whether it’s the Mission: Russia series, Deep Haven novels, the Christiansen ones or the Trouble series, I devour them all. She’s got the amazing ability to write across the board and nail it every time.
Who is your favorite fictional villain?
Julie: I hope it’s okay to go with a comic book/television/movie character. Lex Luthor, especially from the series Smallville. They wrote him with so many levels, so multi-dimensional, that I use him as a template for my own villains. You can’t just create a “bad guy.” You need to give a back story. Lex was written so beautifully as a wealthy heir desperate for a father’s love that I was conflicted between rooting for him, or Clark Kent.
I agree with you. Lex Luthor is a villain’s villain, one of the best. And it’s Michael Rosenbaum…
What project are you currently working on?
Julie: I’m working on Entangled, book two in my Adirondack Surrender romance series. Readers first met Carla Rowling in Entrusted, and Entangled is her book. She’s been given the opportunity to pursue her dream of being a hair stylist. Thanks to mistakes she’s made in the past, she’s creating a lot of split ends for herself and everyone around her, including her son and boyfriend, Will Marshall.
We wish you great success, Julie. And thanks so much for taking the time to complete our 3 Questions.
Readers, Julie is giving away a Kindle version of her book, Entrusted. Leave a comment to be entered to win.
