3 Questions Wednesday welcomes author, Michelle Griep. Don’t miss the opportunity to win a copy of her book, The Courageous Brides Collection. You’ll find the details below. But first, find out her answers to our 3 questions…
Welcome, Michelle! First, can you tell us…
What books have fortified you as a writer? How?
Self-Editing for Fiction Writers: How to Edit Yourself Into Print by Renni Brown and Dave King
This is one of favorite craft books because it was my first. This one explained the basics in terms I understood. It also includes exercises for the over-achievers.
If you’ve never had the privilege to attend one of Jeff’s writing workshops, don’t panic. You can glean some great writerly nuggets from his book. You’re either strong with plot or character, so whichever one is your weakest link, this book will help you strengthen that skill.
GMC: Goal, Motivation and Conflict by Debra Dixon
Before I write a new story, I use what I learned in this book to enhance my characters. Heroes, heroines, even villains need to know what they’re after . . . and so does your reader.
All great selections! Next, we were wondering…
What secret talents do you have?
I just laid 23 rolls of sod today. Does that count? Yeah, I didn’t think so. I can dance a mean polka, drink you under the table with espresso shots, and I’m an amateur photographer. HERE’s my Instagram portfolio to prove it.
Wow, I’d say you are one very talented lady! Here is your final question…
If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?
Actually, I could make you pretty much anything because I love to cook. But if you dropped in tonight you’d be served spring rolls, spicy peanut penne pasta, iced mango tea and brownies for dessert.
All favorites of mine too … just let me know what time. Sounds delicious! And thanks so much for visiting with us today. 🙂
Michelle is offering a copy of her book, The Doctor’s Woman in The Courageous Brides Collection. Please leave a comment to be entered to win…
