Welcome to 3 Questions Wednesday, EJ McCay.
When she’s not writing, she’s listening to music, watching the best movie ever, Princess Bride, or the best show ever, Chuck.
I loved Chuck!–And Princess Bride is a classic. Okay, down to business–first question—
What inspires you?
EJ: I’m inspired by different things, from things my daughters say/talk about, to television shows, or my own past experiences.
Our children often inspire, and without even realizing it. 🙂 In my opinion, life experiences are the very best. Makes it easy to “write what you know.”
Next question–You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Blue is a very relaxing color, and the beach is the best place for it, don’t you think? There’s something about water that automatically calms you.
Final Question–As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
EJ: Ha! I wanted to be a stand-up comedian. A case of perpetual stage fright made that not such a lucrative career choice.
Uh-oh! Maybe you could use the stage fright as a platform. Humor is such a great way to communicate.
EJ McCay has authored three books, all available on Kindle. You’ll find more information about them here: Books by EJ McCay.

Stuck in the small town she would rather forget Lillian was forced to attend therapy and try to figure out where it all went wrong. Her high school crush showing up on the scene didn’t help either as unresolved feelings bubbled to the surface. Will Lillian let Jesus heal her broken past before her chance at love is gone?
