3 Questions Wednesday with Julie Arduini

Happy Wednesday! Today the Inspired Prompt welcomes author, Julie Arduini. We’re so happy you could join us. First question:

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Julie:  Encouraging. Faithful. Sassy. If I was allowed to expand on that, I’m working on the sassy part being more grace and prayerful.

Good choices. And we’re all working on something. 🙂 Now about travel…

Someone offers you a fully-paid writing research trip to any place you desire to go. Where would it be and why?

Julie:  That’s a great question! I’ve been intentional about using regions in Upstate New York as my settings. My current series I’m working on is set in the Finger Lakes, where I grew up. A future setting I’d like to use and would need to do research on as I haven’t visited since I was a little girl would be the 1000 Islands. My heart is to show readers places apart from NYC that are typically small town. My first series, Surrendering Time, was in the Adirondack Mountains. The biggest compliment I received was from residents in the real Speculator who looked at a map to make sure my fictional village of Speculator Falls was fake.

Sounds like an interesting place. What a compliment! Last question:

If someone made a movie of your life, what would be the theme song?

Julie:  So many songs come to mind as music really speaks to me. There have been seasons where I have a theme song because it ministered to me at the time. “The Anchor Holds” and “I’m Still Standing” (yes, Elton John.) The one constant song is “I Won’t Back Down,” the Sam Elliott version. I’m tenacious and prayer is important to me. The lyrics really fit my life, even though it’s a song used in an animated movie.

Interesting choice. I like a lot of songs from animated movies too.I love that song. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Julie: Thank you, this was fun!
