3 Questions Wednesday with Judythe Morgan

2018 croppedHappy Wednesday! Today the Inspired Prompt welcomes author, Judythe Morgan. We’re so happy you could join us. First question:

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Judythe:  Eclectic: Years ago, one of my husband’s business associates told him he had quite an eclectic wife. I wasn’t sure whether to be flattered or insulted. I looked it up and decided  I am indeed eclectic. I like to select what seems best to me from various styles, doctrines, ideas, and methods.
Resourceful: My resourcefulness stems from being eclectic. I have a wealth of knowledge floating around in my head that helps me deal with new situations or difficulties.
Imaginative: A creative imagination is the mainstay of most authors. Mine sometimes works overtime.

Yes, wonderful qualities for a writer 🙂 Now about travel…

Someone offers you a fully-paid writing research trip to any place you desire to go. Where would it be and why?

Judythe:  My first thought was to return to Ireland and drink in the raw beauty, relish the culture, and visit friends I’ve made on previous visits. I always recharge my imagination there. Then I gave a second thought and Scotland came to mind. I’ve traveled in Scotland too, and I’d love to wander beyond the typical tourist places. Maybe add a Scottish bur to my Irish brogue. Of course, wherever I went I’d love the adventure and feed my writer’s imagination.

I would imagine Scotland and Ireland are both breathtaking around the holidays! Last question:

If someone made a movie of your life, what would be the theme song?

Judythe: This was the hardest question for me, even though I live in a very musical family. We have oboists, pianists, singers, composers, and hummers. We have piano teachers and music teachers. We know a gazillion songs. Still, this question was tough for me.  I asked for suggestions. And, what fun that was collecting the different ideas. Interestingly, many of the suggested songs involved travel. I have moved around and traveled a lot. There were also many hymns and Christian songs suggested. My faith does guide my life. After much reflection, I narrowed my choices to two.  One reflects how my life has played out – The Happy Wanderer. I’ve loved all the places I’ve lived, the people I’ve met, and the lifelong friends I discovered along the way.  The other, I consider the underpinning of life – His Eye is On the Sparrow. I do know who’s in control of my life and I’m so thankful He watches over me.

What great song selections. Thanks so much for dropping by!

  1. Nice to “meet” you, Judythe. I think I’m a bit jealous that you’ve gone to both Scotland and Ireland. I visited Ireland last year (hubby went for work), but it wasn’t nearly long enough. Maybe if I stayed about six months. 🙂

I’d love to travel Scotland. If I were younger (and more in shape), I think I’d bike it.
