3 Questions Wednesday with Sara L. Foust

Good morning! It’s my pleasure to welcome author, Sara L. Foust, to the Inspired Prompt. Good morning, Sara.

Who is your favorite author?

Sara: Zane Grey.

Great choice. He wrote so many good westerns. Next question…

If you could write about anyone or anything fiction/nonfiction who or what would you write about?

Sara:  I love creating the stories I already write and including nature as an important element. I also love treasure hunts and mystery and puzzles.  So I try to combine those elements and create exciting, fast-paced books. That said, I guess I’m already writing what I would love to write about 🙂

Good for you! 🙂  Now for your last question.

If you could spend time with a character from your book or another book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?

Sara: One of my all-time favorite stories is The Swiss Family Robinson. I would love to spend a day with their family, exploring their island and, especially, their tree houses. I do love tree houses!

That sounds like a wonderful day. Sara, we’re so glad you stopped by to visit. Come back soon…

Rarity Mountain

On the surface, SIMON FINCUFF and FERN STRONGBOW have nothing in common. Simon has served his sentence, but his past conviction still haunts him. Fern is a veterinarian and grew up on an off-the-grid homestead. The one thing they share? Each has a dark secret they would do almost anything to protect.

When their current careers are yanked away, they are left scrambling to pick up the pieces. A reality television show falls into their paths, offering a life-changing opportunity that tests their resolve and their faith.

These two unlikely partners must battle to survive for thirty days in the untouched wilderness of Rarity Mountain with only a handful of survival items and a director who is out for drama, no matter the cost. With their lives and their carefully guarded skeletons on the line, they will discover how far they are willing to go to win the million-dollar prize for Survival Tennessee.

  1. Sara! So good to see you here. My grandfather loves Zane Grey also. I have yet to read one though.

I am so thankful you are writing what you love because we love it, too!

Just write a little faster, okay?

  2. Your book description sounds like “Survivor” on steroids! Fern has the leg up though, having lived off the grid before. It sounds very interesting.

  3. I love this story line Sara. I am a huge Survivor fan and enjoy watching the show. Tree houses are the best too! We didn’t have many trees near us growing up so we built a little wood house in the backyard from discarded materials one summer. We had so much fun !
